Social EdVentures started as a dream to do things differently. Growing up with a brother with a disability, I experienced the highs and lows of finding opportunities where people of all abilities could truly thrive. Those early experiences shaped my passion for creating a program that connects real-world learning with meaningful growth.
As a speech therapist, I’ve spent years helping individuals build the skills they need for daily life, but I’ve always believed that the best learning happens outside traditional settings. That’s the heart of Social Edventures. We design hands-on programs that focus on independence, confidence, and practical skills for navigating work, relationships, and life.
I’m proud of how we’ve created a space where young people with disabilities can feel empowered and supported, surrounded by a community that celebrates their strengths. Social Edventures is about more than skill-building—it’s about connection, inclusion, and real-world growth.
Hi! I am enjoying this newly-found EdVenture out here in this big world of ours. I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 30 years with experience in many different settings including public schools, private clinics, and multiple other discovered roles.
Our Social EdVentures outings, meet-ups, pop-ups, and summer camps were developed through partnering, listening, and acting on the needs of parents and children in the community and beyond.
I am absolutely grateful for all of my previous connections and experiences that I have been gifted with, but I am overwhelmed with the need for and the responses to our Social EdVentures. As I continue to explore new ways of cultivating communication among all “abilities”, I am embracing this journey to help others in FUN and EXCITING new ways while empowering others.
